Looks like Kim Kardashian isn't the only one who has an opinion about her nude W Magazine cover shots.
Saturday Night Live guest host Dana Carvey interviewed the "sisters" as part of his famed "Church Chat" skit on Saturday's show and sounded off on the shots that Kim, 30, first declared "full-on porn."
"It's time to bring out the holy trinity of sluts. Please welcome the Kardashians!" Carvey's Church Lady bellowed as SNL stars Vanessa Bayer, Abby Elliott and Nasim Pedrad took the stage.
"I didn't want to do it -- they tricked me," "Kim" whined, referencing the shoot for W's annual November Art Issue that left the woman she parodied in tears on a recent episode of Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
After the star called the published pics "full-on porn," the mag shot back, telling New York Magazine's The Cut that "Kim Kardashian's cover was conceived as an artistic collaboration with well-known artist Barbara Kruger, and was a meditation on the influence that reality TV has on contemporary culture."
Lo Bosworth is bringing out her inner Carrie Bradshaw for her new book. In "The Lo-Down," out now, the former "Hills" star doles out advice about dating, and she admits that her opinions in the book aren't much different from the ones she shared on the small screen.
"For me, on the show, I always found myself giving advice to my girlfriends and mostly advice about the men in all of our lives," she told MTV News. "So writing a book about relationships was a natural next step for me. Writing the book and writing about my experience has been almost cathartic in a way, and it really feels like when you wake up with your girlfriends after a great night out and you talk about the night before and about all these guys. It's really conversational. There's good tips. It's a fun read."
Bosworth took all her past boy experience and channeled it into the book, but it was one particular relationship that left her with her best piece of advice. "I wrote the book coming off a pretty bad breakup, and I realized the most important relationship lesson I've learned so far is first, you have to believe in who you really are ... and you can't compromise who that person is. That's what the book is really about," she explained. "Get out there and live your life! Do something for yourself!"
While cameras are no longer catching her words of wisdom, Bosworth said some of her "Hills" pals have checked out the book. "Lauren [Conrad] has read it and Stephanie [Pratt] has peeked through it," she said. "And they're really excited!"
Conrad, of course, has several books of her own on the market, and Bosworth took her friend's advice when it came to promoting the book.
"[Lauren] gave me a lot of advice — not necessarily about writing the book, but we have talked a lot about going on a book tour, and I was really anxious to go on a book tour," she said, adding that she was afraid the book might not be successful. "She said to me, 'You really almost have to have an alter ego. You have to be excited. You have to walk in the room confidently with a smile on your face and you can't show how nervous you are. ... What you put out there, it comes back.' [My alter ego is] just really happy and excited, because I get nervous a lot. I'm a little more shy than meets the eye."
Producers ordered former sexy Girl Next Door Holly Madison to slim down for her role in burlesque Las Vegas show Peepshow, she told Radar Online in an exclusive new video interview.
Madison was "shocked" when she was told she's too fat, and needed to drop some pounds for the hit stage production.
"I always thought I looked fine. It was a shock to me when they told me to lose weight," the former Playboy Playmate, 32, told Radar Online.
"I'm still up in the air over what to do. I feel like I changed my eating habits to really healthy; I've lost a few pounds.
"I'm still getting there and deciding if I even want to lose weight.'
Madison, the 5'7" blonde who was one of Hugh Hefner's three girlfriends, said she was comfortable with her weight.
"I just feel like I market myself as a sex symbol, I don't market myself as a fitness model or a professional dancer so I feel like the way I look is fine!" she said.
"I don't think I need to lose weight!"
Tune in to the season two premiere of her hit show Holly's World Sunday, which premieres on January 23 at 10:30 pm on E!.
She’s been busy promoting her new film “Country Strong,” and Leighton Meester paid a visit to “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” earlier this week.
The “Gossip Girl” hottie looked absolutely fabulous as she walked out on stage in a leggy grey sleeveless dress with matching heels.
During the course of her interview, Leighton divulged that she grew up in Marco Island, Florida- far from the bright lights of Tinseltown.
Miss Meester also explained that she got started acting at a young age. “I started acting in musicals and plays in my hometown when I was 10, moved to New York when I was 11 and moved here (Los Angeles) when I was 14.”
Kendra Wilkinson and her husband, NFL star Hank Baskett, are tackling tabloid reports claiming that the reality couple is on the rocks.
“You know, I can’t sit here and tell people, ‘Don’t believe [the rumors],’ because they’re going to believe it no matter what,” Kendra told Access at the E! TCA event in Los Angeles on Wednesday. “We say, you know, [we’re] just living our lives and you know, it’s up to people to do what they want with the headlines. It’s up to the people to do what they want in their crazy heads.”
The power pair certainly looked in love, telling Access that their love life has certainly not fizzled.
“Trust me… we’re definitely happy as ever,” Hank — who spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and, most recently, the Minnesota Vikings this season — told Access. “From the day we met till now, it’s still the same. I told her, ‘Just get ready,’ I couldn’t keep my hands off her.”
Kendra and Hank have one child together, Hank Baskett IV, 1, but are definitely considering adding to their family – and performing a lot of “practice.”
“Oh for sure, we talk about it like, everyday,” Kendra gushed, when asked about the possibility of a second child in the near future.
“Practice makes perfect you know?” Hank joked. “You got to, you got to.”
Just how did Kendra Wilkinson lose her baby weight?
With a lot of hard work and trips to the gym "no matter what," she told Us Magazine at the shoot for Us Weekly's Top Transformations.
As the star of E!'s Kendra, Wilkinson says she usually logs 30 minutes to an hour in the gym for four days of the week. If it's in the morning, she'll have a harder, longer workout. If it's at night, she explains, she'll just do simple stretches and a good run.
"When I work out I just go based off of how I feel," the 25-year-old mother told Us. "It depends on how I'm feeling and what I did the night before."
Although she used to give into temptation, Wilkinson has found a way to fight them. "I take a little bite instead of the whole thing."
With 40 pounds lost, the hard work is paying off. "I feel like I'm on my way after a good workout to a body I love," she told Us.
On Tuesday's The Talk, newlywed Nicole Richie, 29, dished on her wedding, marriage and whether she and Joel Madden, 31, will add to their brood.
After four years as a couple, Richie admitted that married life has its own quirks.
"It's different because I know I can get away with more," she said. Asked if she would elaborate, Richie replied: "I haven't tested him yet."
Richie was a bit cagey on whether her children Sparrow, 1, and Harlow, 2, would get a baby brother or sister anytime soon. "I don't think it's fair to ask someone that's had two back-to-back if they're going to have another one," she said. "You never know."
With two toddlers running around and an elaborate wedding under her belt, she is sure of one thing: "I need a nap."
The Kardashian sisters -- Khloe, Kourtney and Kim -- stopped by The Grove to talk with "Extra's" Mario Lopez, and Kim revealed the one thing she won't leave the house without.
"No matter if you are all dressed up or coming home from the gym with no makeup on, a pair of sunglasses can change everything!" Kim pointed out, adding, "They can cover your whole face, or help you look more chic."
Check out the video above for more from the Kardashian confab at The Grove!
Most of us know her as the devious Blair Waldorf on the hit show “Gossip Girl,” but Leighton Meester proved to be quite the talented actress in her latest movie “Country Strong".
The 24-year-old recently sat down with MTV News and explained that, although she’s not even a country singer, she worked closely with her very own music producer to perfect her role as a country singing beauty queen.
"I think it was really surprising how everything kind of came together," Meester said of the training. "Each of us got our own producers to work with and mine [Nathan Chapman], he works very closely with Taylor Swift, which is sort of similar, in the same vein of the music that I'm making in the movie.”
Revealing her new love for Nashville, TN, Leighton added, "Just being in Nashville and working there and meeting the most incredible musicians and producers and songwriters and singers, just being in that world was really cool," the "Gossip Girl" star said. "I have this newfound appreciation for that style of music."
Leighton Meester has been working really hard lately. While at first it seemed like she wanted fashion cred (as per her deals with Vera Wang and Missoni… and that ill-advised Marchesa jumpsuit), her latest endeavor has us wondering if she’s just in it for the cold hard cash. Why? Because she’s now repping Espoir, a South Korean cosmetic company that she doesn’t really seem to, uh, get behind.
In addition to a print ad campaign, Leighton also stars in a couple videos for the brand. In one of them, she starts off lacking a certain confidence about what she’s saying: ”Well, I love what it represents. It’s very stylish, and it’s for a girl just like me. Um, I think it’s for a woman who’s very confident and stylish and sexy. Um, and it’s very— it’s really good makeup.”
With her husband released from the Philadelphia Eagles, Kendra Wilkinson removed any traces of Hank Baskett's former team from their home -- starting with her wardrobe!
"Eagles s*** was everywhere," the 25-year-old E! reality star complained as she cleaned out her closet. "I don't want anything green in here! Time to give it all away."
With the help of her assistant, Wilkinson -- whose son, Hank IV, turned 1 on December 11 -- boxed up jerseys, pajama pats, hats (and even a bra!) before taking her old duds to the curb.
Did you miss her? Jessi Cruickshank is heading back to TV. The fun lovin' ginger and former co-host of MTV's wildy popular "After Show" is back in an all new three-part series called “Jessi Cruickshank’s Real Hollywood Survival Guide”.
After moving to Los Angeles a couple of months ago, Jessi has come across all sorts of interesting personalities. Some of the "stars" joining Jessi on the journey is former reality star and bi-sexual creep Tila Tequilia, former Jersey Shore floozey Angelina, Jayde Nicole, and Dr. Drew Pinskey.
This has to be one of the funnest promo's for a Canadian show I have ever seen, and is a must watch when the first part airs Monday, December 27th @ 8:30pm on MTV.
Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian got skewered during Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update.
During Saturday's live show, SNL players Abby Elliott, Nasim Pedrad, and Vanessa Baye spoofed the reality stars, chatting with anchorman Seth Meyers about their recent credit card controversy.
Any other cancelled Kardashian products? "The Kardashian birth control pill --- yeah, they were Skittles," says one sister. "Sorry!"
Another item that was shelved: "Temporary back tattoos -- not only were they permanent, the only one available read 'slut'!"
On Sunday's episode of her reality series, the mom of 11-month-old Hank gets into a belching contest with pals while watching a football game.
"Every time the offense came on, I had to take a shot, because I was feeling so nervous," the reality star says as her Minnesota Vikings player husband, Hank, takes the field. "Butterflies were in my stomach eating me alive!" (Watch a clip above)
After her pal belches, Baskett shows him who's boss. "Mine was better than that," she says, sipping a beer and offering her trademark laugh.
Later, she gets into the game.
"C'mon, Hank, I want you to rip their heads off and swallow it!" says Kendra.
Watch the full episode of Kendra Sunday at 10 p.m. (EST) on E!
Heidi Montag’s life may have seemed charmed during her days on The Hills, but the reality TV star revealed a darker side of fame in a recent exclusive interview with Radar Online. Montag says that the attention can often be more overwhelming than flattering and she recently schooled herself in martial arts to learn ways to protect herself.
“I can’t afford security, so I practice self defense and chain punching,” Heidi explained to Radar Online.
Though she used to have a posse of bodyguards on hand, she and husband Spencer Pratt have fallen on learner times. “I have spent millions in security in the last 4 years because I had to take care of the cost all on my own. It’s crazy and it’s hard, but life is not always fair.
“I have had to change my life. I can’t afford to go out to the clubs anymore because the sort of protection I need can cost anywhere from 5 to 10 thousand dollars a night...when you travel it’s even worst, because you need to cover the guards travel, food lodging, etc., and pay them. That is actually where all my money went because safety is number one.”
Besides cutting costs, Heidi has enjoyed the burst of independence from her practice.
“It gives me a confidence I didn’t have before,” she added. “I am doing this self defense because it gives me inner strength, and I feel safe in my home. It’s a deterrent, but I know I can’t do what the body guards do.”
Heidi has been training to become a black belt in Wing Tsun with her trainer (SIFU) Michael Casey who explained that “the system is geared straight towards self defense, so there are no rules. Punches, kicks, knees, elbows, ground fighting, strikes to vital areas. Anything goes as the goal of the system is to stop an opponent.”
“It is scary to be out there without protection, people do follow me and you can never be to careful,” Heidi added.
“It’s overwhelming, and it’s most difficult when I’m in large groups of people.”
The beautiful reality star said that while it takes years to perfect the ancient Chinese martial arts form, she has been practicing for about 6 months and realizes she has a long way to go.
“I’m not ready to go out alone yet...I’m only 5ft 2inches tall and have a small frame so I understand I can’t completely do it alone. Which is why I don’t go out as much anymore.
“Half the reason I am laying low and staying to myself is because I don’t have that security like I used too, and you never can predict what will happen.”
Avril Lavigne and steady boyfriend Brody Jenner were snapped leaving Koi in West Hollywood last night, and the duo nearly slipped into their massive SUV without being noticed.
Though they weren't in the mood to be photographed, Avril had a pretty pleasant look on her face, which we're sure was Brody's doing. The Canadian punk/pop princess has been looking extra chipper lately, and even though we never thought this romance would last more than a few weeks, they've been going strong for about 9 months now!
Ever since she first accompanied Brian Austin Green during son Kassius' Hollywood Little League games, Megan Fox has been a hit with the team's fathers.
"It used to be sparse, but now the men are bringing friends just to watch her cheering and jumping up and down," an insider tells Us Weekly.
Despite the added attention, Fox, 24, acts "just like every other mom. She gives out fruit and water between innings, and she's friendly to the other wives."
To see how the actress behaves around her stepson's mom, Vanessa Marcil -- and how married life has softened her.
