Hilary Duff & Mike Comrie Are Not Expecting

http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2010/news/100823/hilary-duff.jpgShe's said all along that she wants to be a mom, but Hilary Duff says it's not happening just yet.

"Wow what a way to wake up and find out your pregs!" Duff Tweeted Wednesday in response to a tabloid report that claiming that she's expecting her first child with her hockey player husband, Mike Comrie. "It's just a rumor guys! Not true. But thanks for all the good wishes! Lol."

Duff, 23, who started her career as a child star working with Disney, spoke in October of the couple's desire for children – but was adamant that it was too soon.

"We're excited to have kids," Duff said. "But we don't want to do it now. We've been married for six weeks."

Duff and Canadian hockey player Comrie, 30, exchanged vows in Santa Barbara, Calif., last August.

We watched Hilary Duff grow up on Lizzie McGuire. Now a newlywed, she’s expecting a baby of her own, Star can exclusively report.

In the Jan. 31 issue of Star, on sale today, we report that the actress and her NHL hockey star hubby, Mike Comrie, are gearing up to be first-time parents with Hilary about seven weeks pregnant.

“They weren’t actively trying to conceive but agreed that if it happened, it happened,” her close friend tells Star.

How are they feeling about the surprise? “They’re ecstatic,” the pal adds.

Hilary, whose first book, Elixir, made it to the New York Times Best-Seller List, married the Pittsburgh Penguins center in Santa Barbara, Calif., in August.

She's been very candid about wanting to start a family, recently saying they were "excited" about having little ones of their own, especially because Mike comes from "a really big family."

Hilary Duff: "We're Really Excited to Have Kids!"

http://www.usmagazine.com/uploads/assets/articles/38198-hilary-duff-were-really-excited-to-have-kids/1295033068_hilary-mike-290.jpgShe found love with hockey pro Mike Comrie, and got married in August, so is a baby carriage in Hilary Duff's near future?

"Yeah, I think we're really excited to have kids," the singer/actress told Us Magazine at the Kentucky Derby Prelude Party Thursday. "And he comes from a big family."

Still, added the star, "I'm only 23, so give me a little bit of time. Come on people!"

In the meantime, Duff and her man, 30, are enjoying their newlywed bliss.

"We just still have this really giddy excitement about each other that's like, 'Oh we got married! Oh my god! You're my husband and I'm your wife!'" she told Us.

And though the twosome don't live together -- she lives in L.A., and he's based in Pittsburgh where he plays for the Penguins -- they make sure not to spend more than three weeks apart.

"I go back and visit," she said. "It's all just been really good. I say 'I can't wait to see you' and 'I miss you so much.' He's such a good guy."

So great, in fact, that the former Gossip Girl star didn't mind taking care of him while he recovered from hip surgery over the holidays.

"I played nurse all throughout Christmas, but we were in Vail so it was beautiful and nice," she told Us. "He's a good patient. Boys are a little whiny, but he was really good."

Hilary Duff: My Tooth Fell Out On Wedding Day

http://yeeeah.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/hilary-duff-wedding-photos.jpgLike any bride, Hilary Duff had plenty of reasons to smile on her wedding day – until one of her teeth fell out.

"I was sitting on the bed with my mom and my sister, and they're like, 'You're an idiot. You did not. Come on,' " Duff, 23, says in an interview airing Monday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The actress-singer, who tied the knot with longtime hockey player beau Mike Comrie, 30, in August, says her dental dilemma happened at about 11 a.m. on her wedding day, just three hours before she needed to start getting ready.

"I burst into tears," she says. "Then I started laughing at myself, and then I really burst into tears."

So who saved her big day? Her wedding planner, whose sister's husband's best friend is a dentist in Montecito, Calif.

Gap tooth-grin evasion aside, her romantic, candlelit ceremony went off without a hitch.

"The actual wedding was perfect," she says. "Thank God I didn't swallow [my tooth]. Not good for a bride on her wedding day."
